Before you ask.
Will it damage the window?
No. Suction only. Nothing is drilled, glued, or taped, and the glass stays as it was the day you mounted it.
My cat is heavy.
The 40 lb rating covers the heaviest house cat with margin to spare.
What will it not work on?
Textured or cracked glass, painted walls, and surfaces narrower than 70 cm. Suction needs smooth, clean glass. Wipe it first.
What if a suction cup loosens?
Two things cause it, and both are fixable in a minute. Grease on the glass: wipe the spot with rubbing alcohol, not just water, and let it dry before mounting. Cold glass in winter, which stiffens the rubber: drop the cups in hot water for two or three minutes, dry them, and press them on while they are still soft and warm.
