This is the privacy policy for SquareFoot Decor (squarefootdecor.com). It covers what data the site collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have about it.
What data I collect
When you visit this site, a few things happen automatically:
- Analytics data via Google Analytics 4. This includes pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location (country and region, not street address), your device type, and your referral source. None of this is tied to your name or email.
- Cookies, including essential cookies for site functionality and analytics cookies for the data above. Consent for non-essential cookies is handled through the CookieAdmin banner that appears on your first visit. You can change your cookie preferences at any time.
- Server log data, including IP addresses and user agent strings, retained for security purposes for up to 30 days.
If you email me directly, I keep that email in my inbox to respond to you. I don’t add you to any list or database.
What I don’t collect
The site doesn’t have accounts, comments, or newsletter signups at this time. If those features are added later, this policy will be updated accordingly.
Affiliate links
Many product links on this site are affiliate links, primarily through the Amazon Associates program. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon may set cookies or receive identifiers that let them attribute the click to this site. Those cookies are governed by Amazon’s privacy policy, not this one.
Future affiliate partners may include LTK, direct brand partnerships, and other retail networks. Any additional tracking those partners set will follow the same pattern: their cookies, their policies.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics 4 for traffic measurement. Google’s privacy policy applies.
- Pinterest for social sharing buttons and pin tracking. Pinterest’s privacy policy applies.
- Amazon Associates for affiliate links, as described above.
- CookieAdmin for consent management.
These services may set their own cookies and collect their own data. I only see aggregated analytics from Google Analytics. I don’t have access to individual user profiles from any of these services.
Your rights
If you’re in the EU or UK (GDPR), California (CCPA), or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Know what data this site has collected about you
- Request a copy of that data
- Request correction or deletion of that data
- Opt out of the sale of your personal data (this site doesn’t sell data, but the right applies regardless)
- Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time

Data retention
Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months before automatic deletion. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Emails you send me are kept as long as they’re useful for ongoing correspondence, and I’ll delete them on request.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, contact me and I’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Substantial changes will be noted at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
